Daw NgaNgai  from Kuki Women’s Human Rights Organization was attended a region conference on strengthening understanding of the Impact of Gender Norms and stereotypes on violence against women in the Greater Mekong Sub Region hold on 9th – 10th  January 2019 in Vientian capital , Laos PDR . It was jointly organized by the  Commission for the Advancement of Women and Child Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism and Gender Development Association. In the conference,  Daw Ngangai talked about Impact of Gender Norms & gender in equality to the  reduction of gender based violence . She also pointed out that ethnic tradition practices are harmful to the right of indigenous women because  there are some ethnic traditional practices which discriminating and againsting the women rights ,CEDAW .

2. The impact Gender Norms and Gender equality to the reduction of gender based violence.
3. The role of media in gender based violence reduction and supporting gender norms change
